Park Safety & Restrictions

Your Safety at Squamish Canyon

We’re committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. Please respect all safety signage and park guidelines during your visit. Unsafe or disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the park without refund, and could lead to serious or fatal injury.

While Exploring the Canyon:

  • Stay on designated walkways and viewing platforms at all times. Surfaces may be slippery when wet.

  • Children and youth must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older) at all times.

  • Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising those in their care.

  • Do not attempt to retrieve dropped items. Please speak with a member of our team for assistance.

  • Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are strictly prohibited throughout the experience.

  • Drones are not permitted anywhere in Squamish Canyon.

  • Dogs and other pets are not permitted within the park.

  • Park areas are monitored by video surveillance for your safety.

Ticketing & Admission:

  • Tickets purchased through unauthorized third-party resellers will not be accepted.

  • A government-issued ID may be required upon entry to verify ticket details.

  • Management reserves the right to deny entry or remove any guest for intoxicated, unsafe, or non-compliant behaviour, without compensation or refund.

  • All prices are listed in Canadian dollars and are subject to GST. Pricing is subject to change without notice.

  • This is an outdoor experience where nature takes the lead, so we recommend dressing for the elements; layers, weatherproof gear, and comfortable walking shoes will serve you well. Trust us, your feet (and the views) will thank you.

  • As much as we love furry companions, only certified service and guide dogs are permitted at Squamish Canyon. We kindly ask guests to present official BC certification and a visible service vest upon arrival.

  • We’re finalizing the details and will be sharing parking updates soon!

  • We recommend setting aside 1 to 2 hours to fully take in the boardwalk experience. Whether you pause to read interpretive signs or simply breathe in the beauty around you, it’s time well spent.

  • Advance purchase is encouraged (and rewarded—you’ll save 10% when you book online). That said, you’re also welcome to buy tickets upon arrival, subject to availability.

  • The boardwalk follows the lay of the land, with several sets of gentle stairs and resting benches thoughtfully placed along the way. It’s designed to be low-impact while allowing you to connect deeply with the landscape; however, wheelchair access is available to access the forest lounge.   • Absolutely. Squamish Canyon is a family-friendly experience, but children should always be accompanied by an adult. Nature is our playground and safety is always a priority.

  • Our hours adjust with the seasons—just like nature intended:

    • January – March: 10:00am–3:00pm (last entry at 2:00pm)

    • April – June: 9:00am–4:00pm (last entry at 3:00pm)

    • July & August: 9:00am–6:00pm (last entry at 5:00pm)

    • September: 9:00am–4:00pm (last entry at 3:00pm)

    • October: 9:00am–3:00pm (last entry at 2:00pm)

    • November – December: 10:00am–3:00pm (last entry at 2:00pm)

  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, UnionPay, Interac, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash.

  • We get it—this place is unbelievably photogenic. But for the safety, privacy, and experience of all guests, drones aren't permitted anywhere on Squamish Canyon grounds. We invite you to capture the magic from the many scenic viewpoints instead.

  • At this time, we do not offer a shuttle service. We recommend planning your own transportation so you can move at your own pace.

  • We operate rain or shine because nature never hits pause and neither do we. While all Day Tickets and Annual Passes are non-refundable, we understand plans can shift. You're welcome to modify your day ticket date and time through your confirmation email link up to 4 hours before your scheduled visit.

  • They certainly are. One of the true wonders of Squamish Canyon is how the landscape transforms with each season. From spring’s fresh green growth to the golden hues of fall, no two visits are ever quite the same.

  • Yes! Guests are welcome to bring their favourite snacks and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy in our Forest Lounge. While outside alcohol isn’t permitted, our Food & Beverage outlet offers curated refreshments, including locally sourced options.

  • Rain or shine, Squamish Canyon is open because nature’s magic doesn’t wait for perfect weather.

  • Every hour has its charm. Early mornings offer quiet serenity, mid-day light illuminates the canyon’s full glory, and late afternoon casts golden hues over the treetops. You really can’t go wrong.

  • Due to the natural terrain, our boardwalk currently isn’t wheelchair accessible. We know accessibility is important, and we’re actively exploring future solutions. For more details, our Guest Services team is happy to help.

  • Because of the stairs throughout the boardwalk, strollers aren’t permitted. For families with young children, we recommend baby carriers to make the journey a smooth one.

  • We’re just a scenic 1-hour drive north of Vancouver on the iconic Sea-to-Sky Highway—20 minutes from downtown Squamish and 45 minutes south of Whistler. It’s a beautiful drive and the perfect prelude to your canyon experience.

  • Yes, there are clean and accessible public washrooms available for your comfort during your visit. After all, exploring nature shouldn’t mean compromising on the essentials.

  • Sustainability is close to our hearts, and while EV charging stations are not yet available in our parking area, we’re exploring thoughtful upgrades for the future.
