Timing for School Groups

We recommend to plan to be on site for 2 hours, including the self-guided learning session and free time in the Forest Lounge. Groups can arrive between 10:00am and 1:00pm

When we arrive, where do we check in?

For groups arriving by bus, one of our team members will greet you on the bus. If you’re carpooling, please meet in front of Guest Services.

Do you have complimentary tickets for teachers and chaperones?

Squamish Canyon offers the following complimentary admission policy for educators and chaperones (these adults must be participants in the Education Program). If your student count changes, then your corresponding complimentary adult admission will also change:

• Pre-K to Grade 12: 1 complimentary adult admission per 5 students

A Special Education Assistant or Education Assistant accompanying a student will also recieve complimentary admission and is not considered part of the above ratio. Additional adults over and above the the student to adult ratio will receive a discounted ticket rate (25% off). Additional adults are welcome to visit Squamish Canyon during a school visit, but we ask that only teachers and designated supervisors attend the program. Supervisors are expected to participate in the program and monitor students.

Please note: Individual class needs are considered. Should you have a special circumstance, please don’t hesitate to discuss it at the time of booking.

How much does it cost?

$10 for all students participating in the field trip. The final count of students and adults will be recorded upon arrival.

What type of payment do you accept?

The final payment is due upon arrival at Squamish Canyon will be processed as one payment. Visa, Mastercard, Amex, debit and cheques are all accepted forms of payment

Paying by Cheque: If paying by cheque, please bring a pre-authorized cheque for payment on the day of your visit.

Do you have lunch options?

Squamish Canyon will not have catering options available for 2026/2027 school year. Groups are welcome to bring their own packed lunches and snacks to enjoy on site.

Can I teach my own program instead of following one of yours?

Yes! You are more than welcome to use Squamish Canyon as your own personal outdoor classroom. Please let us know when you book and what you had in mind.

Is there a space we can reserve to teach in a classroom-style setting?

Our forest Lounge has two covered areas that can be reserved for school groups. This is subject to availability and capacity.

Are your educational programs accessible to everyone?

Squamish Canyon is unfortunately not accessible to wheelchair users due to the stairs throughout the experience. Please reach out for more information on accommodations.

What if the weather is bad on the day of our program?

Squamish Canyon offers our educational program year round, rain or shine. Please prepare for all weather conditions. If for any reason beyond Squamish Canyon’s control, including weather or emergency conditions, and we are unable to operate, we will have to cancel the booking. We will do our best to reschedule the group to another date.

Do we need to be a school to participate?

Not at all! We run our education programs for a variety of clubs and youth groups.
