Our curriculum-based programs, for Kindergarten through Grade 7, seamlessly integrate with the wonders of our elevated boardwalk and surrounding rainforest, canyon, and cliffs. Boardwalk Detectives - K & Grade 1
Spur on curiosity about the natural world with a scavenger-hunt type of approach. Provided waterproof materials help students look for general features throughout the Squamish Canyon setting (different trees, ferns, berries, colours, etc), all easily observable from the elevated boardwalk.

Rainforest Adventurers - Grades 2 & 3
Life cycles are the focus … of water, trees, ferns and mosses. Stops will be made at key observational points to further broaden understanding and identify different species. Students will be encouraged to use their five senses to enhance the experience.

Curious Canyoneers - Grades 4 & 5
Have fun identifying different trees, plants, and mosses (oh, my!) found throughout the canyon and forest. From a key observational viewing platform, see firsthand how flowing water transforms into electrical energy.

The viewing platforms along the Mamquam River are ideal for understanding different forms of energy and how that energy can be transformed into hydroelectric power. Focus is also on the geological formation of the canyon, tree and plant identification, and why the boardwalk was constructed in this particular location.

Groups are self-guided by educators and chaperones, educational materials will be provided to organizer and on-site resources will be provided on the day
Complimentary entry for educators and chaperones following these ratios: K/1 & 2/3 1 to 5 ratio, 4/5 & 6/7 1 to 10 ratio. Additional adults or chaperones may require an additional fee.
Squamish Canyon accepts credit card, cash or cheque payments. No deposit required. Invoice will be sent on the day of the visit with the final number of students and adults.
Squamish Canyon operates rain or shine: Students must be dressed for the weather and wear closed toe shoes
