For over a decade, Robin Sherry has chased one bold idea: build something unforgettable—a place where people can connect with nature, safely and sustainably. A longtime Squamish resident, Search and Rescue volunteer, and passionate outdoorsman, Robin dreamed up the Squamish Canyon as a response to the town’s rapid growth and the love it receives from nature-seekers around the world. What began as a “giant tree fort” vision became a 1.4-km eco-attraction, built without removing a single mature tree and guided by his deep respect for the land. Robin fought through red tape and rocky terrain to create a year-round destination that’s part playground, part sanctuary - and all heart. His goal? To give back to the place he calls home—and to make sure future generations can fall in love with it too.
